Janet M. Bradley's early evolution began on the burning deserts in the Tri-Cities of Washington State. It is there, facing remarkable sunsets and beneath rolling, shadow-casting clouds that her art career began. Under the guiding wing of her mother, Virginia Benson Brown (already an artist of renown in the area), she developed her skill with various mediums early, proceeding on to obtain a B.A. in Illustration and Commercial Art. From there, her path led from Washington to Idaho, Colorado, and Kansas. Before voluntarily ending her successful business in commercial art to return and care for her ailing mother, strong effort was put into developing the bold and often emotionally evocative style she is now known for. While helping to ease her mother through the process of transcendence, she further honed her expertise inside Virginia's own previously dormant studio. Today, Janet has emerged as an expert with Acrylic Paint and primarily creates intensely color-driven, occasionally surreal representations of the world all around us (from the Eastern to the Western). As a footprint of the lives we lead as people, hidden figures can often be found throughout her collection. Working on canvases of all sizes, small portraits to wall murals, she is no timid stranger to her craft. Welcoming buyers and commissioners alike, she is also an adept of working with Pen and Ink, Watercolors, and Gold Leafing. In tandem with those mediums, she intends to further express her passion and skill through Oil Paint and Sculpture. |
